Maximize branch

Hi,

I’m looking to start my application with a maximized window, I haven’t found anything for this except a new branch :

So,

  1. is it an official branch ?
  2. will it be merged with the main branch ?
  3. what is its status, does it works / stable ?

I’m guessing all of it, then. Do you need it for all platforms?
