Vista

Hi!

Maybe I missed it but I have not found anything about Windows Vista in the forum.
I love this fw and I build my quite big project on this (nothing special 3D RPG).

Unfortunatley I have no oportunity to try it on Windows Vista.

Regarding GLFW
Any experince? Is it going to work on it anyway without any decreased performance or something like that. Or crash on Vista horribly

Regarding openGL
I heard that the opengl fullscreen applications are supported with 100% performance in Vista. (The sys senses that an application needs direct access to the hardware and it shuts down the Aero) any thoughts ?

Thank you for the answers and GLFW!

I haven’t heard anything about GLFW on Vista. I hope it works.

The OpenGL issue has been resolved, as was announced at a BOF at SIGGRAPH last year.

I use it now on Vista too and yes it works. On the other hand its
good to know that Vista hasn’t got descent opengl support right now.
Microsoft wanted to decrease the opengl support in Windows and now
its simulated or something. Your framerate is very low therefore.
So, now we have to wait until good opengl support is available along
with the videocard drivers.

The demos run fine on Vista x64, too (either x64 or x32 builds), much more than can be said for GLUT.
