When the reopen demo switches to fullscreen, I can pan around the entire desktop via the mouse, with the glfw reopen “window” approximately located where it was in windowed mode. I’m running an Nvidia GTX 650 card with the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-319.23.run driver, which supposedly fixed an XRandr bug with panning.
